Aerospace

Ontario has a long history of aerospace innovation, going back to 1917 and the Curtiss Canuck, a plane that greatly influenced military, commercial and recreation aviation. Today, Ontario aerospace companies are producing commercial, business and light aircraft, engines, landing gears, structural components, satellites, flight simulators and electronic systems.

And we’re helping the rest of the world take flight too—exporting 70% of what we make. In fact, Ontario-made aerospace parts are used in virtually every passenger aircraft in the world.

Ontario’s aerospace industry is pushing the boundaries of innovation, developing lighter, stronger, more efficient next generation products using advanced polymers, bio-composites and super conductive materials and that’s the key to taking our industry to new heights.
